when life is finding its way
Life Transitions Counselling
Vancouver & Richmond | Online Across BC
Language | English, Cantonese, Mandarin
Life transitions can bring change that is exciting, difficult, or both. You may be starting a new chapter, adjusting to a major change, or finding that the life you once knew no longer feels quite the same. Even positive changes can bring uncertainty, grief, self-doubt, or a sense of feeling lost.
Counselling offers a space to slow down, make sense of what is changing, and reconnect with yourself as you find your way through this transition.

Honouring Where You Are
There is no right way to move through a life transition. You may feel ready for change while also grieving what you are leaving behind.
You may know that something needs to change but feel uncertain about what comes next. Sometimes, the hardest part is simply not knowing
who you are in this new chapter.
Your feelings do not have to make perfect sense before they deserve attention.
Counselling can give you space to pause, reflect, and understand what
this transition means for you—without rushing to figure everything out.
Understanding What’s Changing
Transitions can affect much more than our circumstances. They can shape how we see ourselves, our relationships, priorities, and sense of direction. Together, we can explore what this transition is bringing up for you, including the thoughts, emotions, expectations, and patterns that may be shaping your experience.

Identity & Sense of Self
Exploring how change is affecting the way you see yourself, your values, roles, and sense of who you are.

Uncertainty & Emotional Adjustment
Making space for anxiety, self-doubt, grief, excitement, or mixed emotions as you adjust to what is changing.

Letting Go & Moving Forward
Processing what you are leaving behind while exploring what you want to carry forward into this next chapter.
How I Support Your Journey

A Space to Pause and Reflect
When life is changing, it can be difficult to hear your own thoughts beneath everything that needs to be done. Counselling gives you space to slow down, step back, and honestly reflect on what you are experiencing.

Understanding Yourself in Change
Transitions can bring old patterns, fears, and expectations to the surface. We can explore what may be underneath your reactions and help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself.

Finding Your Own Way Forward
Rather than telling you what you should do next, we can explore what matters to you and what kind of life you want to create. Together, we can work toward greater clarity, self-trust, flexibility, and intentionality.
Who This Is For
Life transition counselling may be helpful
if you are going through a period of significant change and finding it difficult to adjust,
make sense of your feelings, or know what comes next.
You do not need to know exactly what you want or where you are going before reaching out. Counselling can begin with simply making space for where you are right now.

Major Life Changes
Navigating changes in your career, relationships, family, living situation, or other important areas of life.

Starting a New Chapter
Adjusting to a new stage of life and figuring out who you are and what matters to you now.

Relationship Changes
Processing the beginning or ending of a relationship, changes in family dynamics, or shifts in important relationships.

Career & Work Transitions
Feeling uncertain, stuck, unfulfilled, or overwhelmed by changes in your career or working life.

Grief, Loss & Letting Go
Making sense of the emotions that come with losing something meaningful or letting go of an old version of your life.

Feeling Lost or Disconnected
Feeling unsure of yourself, disconnected from what matters to you, or uncertain about the direction you want to take.
A Space to Be Yourself
I’m Jessy Lok, a BC Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and a background in Psychology. I support individuals navigating life transitions, anxiety, self-criticism, relationships, and the many changes that can shape how we see ourselves and our lives.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental. I believe counselling should be a space where you can slow down, speak honestly, and explore what is happening beneath the surface—without needing to have everything figured out. Whether you are stepping into something new, letting go of something familiar, or simply trying to understand where you are now, you are welcome here.
I offer counselling in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, with in-person counselling in Vancouver and online counselling across BC.
We will work collaboratively to help you navigate life's difficult transitions, move through feelings of anxiety, and find a sense of groundedness and clarity that feels sustainable for your life.

You Don’t Have to Have It All Figured Out
Change can be uncomfortable, even when it is something you chose.
If you are navigating a new chapter, feeling uncertain about what comes next, or simply wanting a space to understand yourself better, counselling can give you room to pause, reconnect with yourself, and move forward with greater intention.
